Mahindra & Mahindra has commenced bookings of its upcoming product, the XUV300 compact SUV. The Indian UV manufacturer has announced the commencement of bookings ahead of the model’s launch that is scheduled to take place on February 15, 2019.
The Mahindra XUV300 will be available in four variants including the W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O). Standard features across the variant line-up of Mahindra’s latest compact SUV include LED tail lights, airbags, disc brakes for all four wheels and all four power windows. Additionally, the top-end variant will come equipped with features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, front parking sensors, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sunroof and segment-first features such as seven airbags and dual-zone climate control.
Additionally, the Indian automobile manufacturer has also revealed the engine specifications of the XUV300. The new compact SUV from Mahindra will be powered by a 1.5-litre diesel engine and a 1.2-litre petrol engine, with the former being borrowed from the Marazzo. The diesel mill will be capable of producing 300 Nm of torque while the petrol motor will be capable of producing 200 Nm of torque. Transmission duties will be taken care of by a six-speed manual unit. An automatic transmission is expected to be offered sometime later. Mahindra has revealed that the XUV300 will compete with SUV in the price range of INR 8-12 lakh.
