Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 Facelift Launched In India, Prices Start At INR 2.94 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki recently launched the BS-VI compliant Baleno in India, the first new emission compliant model from the company. Just a day later, the company has launched its second BS-VI emission compliant vehicle, the Alto 800 facelift.
The updated Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 carries updates in the form of increased safety features and a BS-VI compliant engine. The Alto 800 facelift has now been equipped to meet the new safety norms and receives features such as a driver side airbag, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, speed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder system. The top-end VXI variant also comes with a passenger side airbag while the STD (O) and LXI (O) variants have it as an option.
Coming to the engine specifications, the 796cc, three-cylinder petrol engine is now BS-VI emission compliant but continues to produce the same amount of power and torque which stand at 48 hp and 69 Nm. This engine is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. What has taken a hit though is the fuel efficiency, which now stands at 22.05 km/l, unlike the 24.7 km/l fuel economy it returned earlier.
As a part of the facelift, the 2019 Maruti Suzuki Alto gets a refreshed exterior that features a new front bumper, blacked out grille, and an all-new dashboard. Feature-wise, the model comes equipped with front power windows, power steering, air conditioning, keyless entry central locking and a music system with Bluetooth connectivity.
