Ahead of its launch that is reportedly scheduled to take place later this month, images of the next generation Maruti Suzuki WagonR have surfaced on the web. The images, which seem to have been taken at a dealer yard, reveal the exterior and interior of the upcoming 2019 Maruti WagonR.
In the design department, the new Maruti Suzuki WagonR features a rectangular grille with a chrome strip, dual tone bumper with circular fog lamps and sweptback halogen headlamps at the front. On either side, the model retains the tall-boy silhouette and receives electrically operated ORVM’s with integrated turn indicators, inverted L shaped black trim on the C-pillar and steel wheels. At the rear, the model is equipped with vertically stacked tail lights and two parking sensors.
Inside, the next-gen Maruti Suzuki WagonR will come equipped with a dual tone interior with beige upholstery, dual tone dashboard with silver trims, a touchscreen infotainment system on the centre console and the gear lever sitting below the HVAC controls. Also on offer is a multi-function steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls, a large circular speedometer and a circular shaped digital display.
The new 2019 Maruti WagonR is expected to source power from the same 1.0-litre petrol motor as seen on the outgoing model. A 1.2-litre petrol unit as seen in one of the spy images could be offered with the top-end variant. A CNG variant is also on the cards. Transmission options will include a five speed manual gearbox and a five speed AMT (AGS in Maruti terms).
